about

Could 'The Journey' be a calling to a new pseudo-religious philosophical truth? There's only one way to find out!

lyrics

The Journey

Believers walk and quake and shake
The grass grows long and the day grows late
As they trudge the road past the milestones
Carrying the sacred genetic code

To a golden field of ripening wheat
Where the sky is red with primative heat
Where the seed is called from inside the stone
Forcing the gods to change their tune

They smell the rising sap in relentless sun
As it seeps from the pores of the chosen ones
Browning the skin to the perfect shade
Easing the passage of another day

Believers cower in their idol's face
As it clamps down hard on morals and grace
As it forges their chains on the altar of life
As grey fire flows from it's holy mouth

A leap into the circle of dancing fauns
Where the idols are eaten as the new day dawns
Where the old and wise are sacrificed
Willingly led to the tree of life

All races of the earth swing from the tree
And float down the river of exotic dreams
On a shaky raft of fallen limbs
On the journey of tools and growing things
